Making Good Choices: Selecting Data Visualization Types and Tools Online
How do I decide what visualization type to use? Which data visualization tool will best meet my needs? All data visualization types and tools are not created equal. Microsoft Excel offers over 20 different chart types but not all are useful for all data visualization purposes. There are a growing number of tools available to create data visualizations but not all are equal in functionality and/or ease of use. This session will discuss strengths of different types of data visualization types, using examples. We will then explore various data visualization creation tools, describing their strengths.
