Engaging Your Students through Experiential Learning in an Open Setting Online
Join Dr. Matt DeCarlo, Assistant Professor of Social Work at La Salle University and author of two open textbooks, as he discusses his approach to engaging students through experiential learning in an open setting. Reflecting on his experience conducting a textbook cost study with students in a research methods course, Dr. DeCarlo will discuss the theoretical grounding of experiential learning using open educational practices, methods to involve students in doing practical work with real-life impacts, and best practices for developing and conducting rigorous experiential learning projects with students.
