Data Vis How-To Series: R with ggplot2 and Python with matplotlib Online

R is a programming language commonly used for data analysis and visualization. Python is a commonly used general purpose programming language. Both offer programming libraries focused on data visualization creation. During this session, we will briefly discuss why you may choose to use a programming language for data visualization rather than other tools. We will then demonstrate the basics of creating data visualizations in each language using common data visualization libraries. Instructions for installation of tools along with demonstration data sets will be provided ahead of time for use during the session.
[This session is NOT a general programming instruction workshop for either language.]
